i need a pair of new leather ones...and the first time i got a pair of ballet shoes was in august and a lady helped me with my fitting for the shoes...i%26#039;m a size 6 and the bottom of my ballet shoes say 4c or 4 c? so when i go into a store how do i ask for the shoes i need? do i say, %26#039;i need a pair of 4 c shoes single sole?%26#039; please i want to ask the right way without sounding stupid.

What do you say when you ask for a pair of leather ballet shoes in a dance store?
You can never sound stupid when asking for a pair of ballet shoes. Ballet shoes need to fit without cramming so it is very important to get the right size. Just simple ask for a pair of leather ballet shoes that are full sole. When they ask for the size, just say, 4c...but you might also want to ask for a size larger because your feet could of grown.
Reply:Just say you need a pair of ballet shoes that are full sole and if you aren%26#039;t sure of your size just ell them and they will measure your foot. It could also help to bring your old ones with you.
Reply:All you have to do is ask them for a pair of ballet shoes. They will ask you what type (as you said, full sole and leather or canvas in whatever brand). They%26#039;ll ask you what is you normal shoe size. You don%26#039;t have to worry about those complex numbers, because it%26#039;s different with every brand. The associate should know; don%26#039;t worry.
Reply:just ask what you think will get you the information you%26#039;re looking for, they may ask if you want leather or canvas shoes.

what the numbers and letter stands for is the size and width of the shoe

i am also a dancer and know what it%26#039;s like to ask for shoes,

again just ask who ever is working there about what you need they%26#039;re there to help you

best of luck

Reply:Your best bet, particularly with ballet shoes, but really with all dance shoes, is to ask them to fit you. Unless your feet have stopped growing and you have a particular brand you always come back to, getting them fitted is one of the most important things you can do to avoid problems-either injuries, pain, or interference with your movements. When you go in, tell them you need a new pair of leather single sole ballet shoes (I prefer split sole, personally, but go with what works for you or you%26#039;re required to have), and if they ask what size, ask to be fitted. Even if they pull it up based on your street shoe size, still request to try them on. Slight variations of even a half size can make your feet feel very cramped or can make your shoes flop around. Most people that work in dance stores are dancers themselves, so they know the importance of getting the right fit. Enjoy the dancing!
Reply:hon, you will never sound stupid in a dance store. Just tell the person working there what u are looking for. I have never met a mean person tht worked in a dance store.
