What are the best type of Tap (dancing) shoes?

Hi, I have recently started tap dancing classes, and was wondering what brand of (adult) shoes are considered the best, and also what brand is recommended by dancers out there? I dance in shows and musicals. Thanks!

What are the best type of Tap (dancing) shoes?
Hi!

Wow, no answers after 22 hours! I think I know why:

The best tap shoe is whatever is best FOR YOU. All the brands are different, and you just have to try a few. If you can borrow tap shoes, try borrowing different brands in the same size. My SODANCAS lasted for a really long time and still look and sound great (they just don%26#039;t fit anymore).

The different manufacturers make different sizes even when they SAY they%26#039;re the same. Some are wide and some are slender. A good dancer%26#039;s outlet store will have several different brands you can try on. If the person behind the counter is a tap dancer too, he or she can be really helpful.

Good luck, have fun, keep dancin%26#039;!
Reply:for me, its capezio. but it depends on your foot.
Reply:You really shouldn%26#039;t order tap shoes from the Internet, because they are all different, I would go somewhere and try them on. Every foot is different! Good Luck.
Reply:Whatever you like. I like Capezio...look in dance magazines and around in dance stores. Try on what you like and is comfortable.
Reply:Bloch, its what I use, and I have been dancing for almost 10 years. Reliable and comfortable!!! I hope I helped you!!!
Reply:the best are what ever you can afford
